Wedding Bliss

19 October 2010

Today is officially the tenth day of our marriage. So far we have been very busy. We have such wonderful families that have been super supportive and helpful during this time. I can say that Spencer and I are both very grateful for all the work and time that each member has put in on our behalf. Thank you everyone for you help. The only thing is, because we have such wonderful families, we also have many wonderful friends that have given us so many gifts. Spencer and I have been working hard on organizing our new apartment, however, we are far from finishing. We definitely have our work cut out for us as we slowly adjust to married life.

Our honeymoon was so much fun. We spent a week in Cancun, Mexico. My AMAZING Dad got us an awesome vacation package at an All Inclusive resort in Playa Mujeres. While we were there, there we some troubles with the weather. We flew down at what seemed to be the perfect timing for Hurricane Paula to arrive. Yet, we lucked out and only had a few days of rain. We were able to visit Chichen Itza during our stay. Chichen Itza was incredible. It is one of the new seven wonders of the world, and we were so lucky we were able to make it on a beautiful sunny day.

The other thing that we were able to do was spend a day swimming with dolphins. Spencer and I had an incredibly fun time at the water park. We loved that we were able to learn about the dolphins and ride on them. These dolphins were so fast and so smart it amazed both of us. I look back on it and love that I have that memory to share with my best friend and husband! Spencer did the superman ride on the dolphin. It sounds interesting, I know, but, he did it like a pro. I just about lost my swim suit when I got pulled by the dolphins. The other fun thing about the water park was the slides. They had so many different, tall, fast, and fun slides. Spencer and I did have one slide particularly that we really enjoyed. It wasn't even much of a slide but more of a toilet bowl that you drop out of into a pool.
